I Shall Not Be Moved!!!!!!!!!!!!

You know, I was thinking. My hat's off to the Blogfather (aka Mudpuppy, LBOM, Russ) for his Pidepiper move to wordpress! Yes he has a devoted following over to the dark side, but I for one will not be moved! Now, before anyone says anything understand this. I have a blog that I like. It happens to be on blogspot. I don't have any problems writing what I want to write and saying what I want to say. I have an established archive that anyone who wants to dig up a previous nugget of Pudge wisdom can do it easily. Nobody has to change a link in order to accommodate my desire to change anything. Those of you who have a link on my blog, you choose to leave and have properly notified the Pudgeman will have their links updated accordingly. I will not do anything to try to prevent this mass exodus! But, rest assured that the Pudgeman will be here as long as blogspot is up and running. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.
On another thought, I love the Mudpuppy! I gave him a pretty rough way to go yesterday and because of it he had more comments in one day then in the last week combined! He is my little brother and I had a little fun at his expense. But c'mon Russ.........shopping! You opened yourself up big time! But, everyone be blessed beyond belief today.

Speaking of Exodus, not only will He lead you by day by cloud, but He will lead you by night by a pillar of fire. Not only will He lead you but He will be by your side and behind you, covering your back and enabling you to fall into His arms whenever you need to. You will be drenched and refreshed in the deluge of His Love and His Grace.

Oh yes and Pudge, you will be moved, in accordance with His perfect and determined will in His time in according to His plan.

So be it..

Jim, when I say I shall not be moved that is in reference to my blog site. As far as changing your link, if you had clicked on it first you would have found that once again I am a step ahead of you. B4T

Ah yes my brother..thank you. Just as in the blog world so it is in our little spot in the space-time continuum. If we will not be moved in the little things, how can we expect Him to move us in the things that matter most? Don't be stiff necked on this!! I implore you!!Time is short!!I am glad you changed your link but I had to let the bloggette world know and the best way I know to communicate to the world as we know it is through a comment in yours!!!So be it!!!So if it is not broke don't fix it!! I think I will write that down and put it on my mirror!!!

You know what, I want to be fair here. I will put the challenge out there to everyone. If anybody can provide me with three good reasons that blogspot won't supply my blogging needs, or that wordpress can do sucha superior job. I will consider the switch! I have to know that there is an advantage to it. Also Jim, I don't consider my decision to be stiff necked, I am just loyal. You wouldn't want me to leave you if a better, taller more loving buddy came into my life would you? Loyalty folks that's the key here, loyalty. B4T

I would refer you to the "blogfather" but it occurred to me that someone of his proficiency in these matters would have a good reason. It seems to me more user friendly, easier to spell check, insert links, upload photos and format. It seems to have higher visability and enables you greater power in determining how many hits your are receiving and where they are being referred from. It is more powerfull, more user freindly, more cool, newer and trendy (and we know how important it is to be trendy and cool) Aside from that if it is good enough for Russ its good enough for me. Oh and by the way if somebuddy comes along that is just somewhat prettier than me I already know where you are headed. I have already seen that...Oh, I was just joking about the stiff neck, I am the one who sees a chiropractor almost every week!! Love to you, blogbrother!!!

My top 3 reasons to switch:

#1- It allows you to add recent comments to your side panel allowing you to continue a discussion on previous posts without always going back to check to see if someone posted a new comment on an old post. (This is helpful for readers who don't get email notifications of new comments to your blog). I LOVE THAT!

#2- You can assign posts to categories. You can make them up as you go. This allows you or your reader to check on more posts you might have written on a specific topic. For instance, my post today was filed under "Movies", "Trailers", and "Laughs". Now anytime someone wants to see all my posts on "Movies" all they have to do is click on that category.

#3- The third reason is a tie between having more template options, better previewing abilities, built in stat tracking, better link management, allowing you to have mulitple pages within the blog, having less server trouble, and enjoying being on the cooler side of things.

You can reference the church's website for how cool the additional pages feature can be for someone.

1. There is no need to hang on to something just because you have always done it that way. We need to adjust to the needs of real people and accomodate them.

2. We need to be constantly looking at ways we can bend to meet the needs of our blogging community.

3. We need a blog that remains relevant to the blogging community and blogging culture we live in.

Alright folks here we go. You are all making wonderful arguements for me to "go" to wordpress, nobody has yet given me a reason to "leave" blogspot! Like I said it has been serving me well. You see my current profession is in purchasing. I have learned over the years that you don't just leave a vendor that has been giving you great service at a competative price just because something newer and more flashy comes along to make you say "wow, that's new and flashy"! If that were the case, I would trade in all you old friends for newer and flashier ones! But NO, I love my friends more than I love my blog! I would never do that to them! Therefore, until someone gives me three good reasons to "LEAVE" blogspot, I am going to stay. My philosophy is that if it ain't broked, don't go out and fixin it! B4T

Now, let's see the blogfather comes over to my blog (not on wordpress by the way) to ask a question of the general populus about euchre! Who is really in control of the blogworld? In answer to your question, I will not be there. I have a previous engagement! B4T

You know this brought Genesis 11:31 to mind. God calls each of us to do our best and use our resources to the best of our ability. Just as Terah "settled", do we also settle for what is just okay or what works for us? Likewise, we bloggers deserve the best technology has to offer. My company has good competitors and typically my clients are loyal, but they have a responsiblity to their residents to be good stewards of the taxpayer's resources. Are we to settle where we are or are we to go on and be moved to Canaan?

There is no emotion; there is peace.
There is no ignorance; there is knowledge.
There is no passion; there is serenity.
There is no death; there is only the Force.
Note: there is no line in the Jedi Code referring to Harmony. See immediately below for more information.
At one point in history, around 4000 BBY, there was a fifth line of the Code, falling fourth in order, which read "There is no chaos; there is harmony." This line did not seem to be part of the Code before, or by the time of the Battle of Yavin. The Star Wars official website still currently features the four-line version as well.

Hanging with literalist friends has its advantages...

Anyway, here's a cool song I heard recently:

Praise You In This Storm by Casting Crowns

I was sure by now
That You would have reached down
And wiped our tears away
Stepped in and saved the day
But once again, I say "Amen"
and it's still raining

As the thunder rolls
I barely hear You whisper through the rain
"I'm with you"
And as Your mercy falls
I raise my hands and praise the God
Who gives and takes away

I'll praise You in this storm
And I will lift my hands
For You are who You are
No matter where I am
Every tear I've cried
You hold in Your hand
You never left my side
And though my heart is torn
I will praise You in this storm

I remember when
I stumbled in the wind
You heard my cry You raised me up again
My strength is almost gone
How can I carry on
If I can't find You

As the thunder rolls
I barely hear You whisper through the rain
"I'm with you"
And as Your mercy falls
I raise my hands and praise the God
Who gives and takes away

I'll praise You in this storm
And I will lift my hands
For You are who You are
No matter where I am
Every tear I've cried
You hold in Your hand
You never left my side
And though my heart is torn
I will praise You in this storm

I lift my eyes unto the hills
Where does my help come from?
My help comes from the Lord
The Maker of Heaven and Earth
