Back By Popular Demand - WILD WEDNESDAY

You know, I was thinking. After weeks of being harrassed about it I have finally decided to bring back Wild Wednesday! Now this is an unannounced test run so pay close attention. To prove to everyone that this is not a good idea I am simply laying out my fleece on this. If I have at least ten different people ask me a question today (7/26/06) by 4 p.m. then I will continue Wild Wednesday's for awhile. Now, I am talking ten different people, not ten different identities of any one person (whobody, newbody, planet of the apes man, etc... will not count).
Here's the heart of Wild Wednesday, you ask me any question that you wish (nothing off limits) and I will give you an honest answer! I will answer any question at all! You may follow up from that point but you still only count as one person no matter how many question or follow ups you have. It is now 7:45 a.m. you have 8 hours and 15 minutes.................GO! Be blessed beyond belief today.

why did you choose a day when whobody, nobody, newbody and russell are all taking a leave of absence?

My real question is:
What direction do you think your life will take in the next five years?

Oh, and thanks for bringing back WW!

Sammy, even though you have two questions here (I will answer both) it still only counts as one! Here are your answers:
Because I can!
Five years is a long time to look at, I often times wonder where my life will take me by Friday. Wherever I am and whatever I am doing I hope that Rachel and I are together sharing our lives and serving God.
BTW, want a taco?

Since you asked a question and are not sammy or russell, are there now 3 people that have asked questions?

ps. Yes, I want a taco.

Okay, I was wondering if you are still interested in bowling. Is that a question? Well, if not, then "Is that a question?" was. Darn, wasted it!

At 8:34 AM, Anonymous Anonymous said...

Ok, here is a question. What are your thoughts on manifestion of the gifts the Holy Spirit in our current times? IDYBT...IMBO

At 9:12 AM, Anonymous Anonymous said...

I stumbled across your blog through a few mutual friends, what is so wild about wednesday? Secret life of l. douglas m?

At 9:28 AM, Blogger Doug E. Pudge said...

Russel, since you are so diligent in seeking out the true number of people that have asked questions and were quite observant as to the fact that I did ask a question (although the queston was asked of Sammy) I will count it so the answer to your question is yes.

Bruiser, the answer to both of your questions is yes. That is now four!

Sue, good question! Now, that's the stuff I like to see. The first would be to have the wisdom of Solomon. The second would be to have the Spiritual giftings of Paul, the third would be to have the faith of Daniel. That's five.

Jim, athough I know you know my answer to this one already I think this is a good forum for it. I believe that the gifts of the Spirit are still filling men and women today just as they did almost 2000 years ago. That's six.

Friend of a friend since you are unidentifiable you question does not count in the total for today. But, Wild Wednesdays are just a time for the blogging community to enjoy an open forum of the Pudgeman! That's still six.

I know this doesn't count towards the numbers, but I got jipped out of a decent question earlier....

1. Coke or Pepsi? (diet, regular or otherwise)
2. Favorite Restaurant (not fast food)
3. Chicken or the Egg? (wink, wink)
4. Should the Tigers make a trade? (before this years' deadline)
5. Does God want you to be happy? (yes or no answer)

At 9:55 AM, Blogger where's jim? said...

you know I have a chicken and/or egg question that occurred to me earlier and since Ruscle touched on the topic I have some follow up questions. I was wondering about eating chicken with eggs (or conversely eating eggs with chicken). Could you replace the ham with chicken on eggs benedick (sp?:)). What would you call that? You know, like a chicken omelette. Or a grilled chicken sandwich with a fried egg on it. Or a fried chicken sandwich with a poached egg? Do you put hard boiled eggs in chicken salad? Do you think it is good for you? I was thinking about this because I was hungry and I have a piece of leftover chicken, but alas I have no eggs. But does that not strike you as a little, umm, peculiar, that is eating two bird products? IMBO..

At 10:51 AM, Blogger Doug E. Pudge said...

Russ,
1. Regular Coke or Diet Pepsi
2. Tough choice but favorite of all time would have to be Red Lobster (affordable and tasty)
3. Chicken
4. Tigers can make the run to and through the WS with the team they are fielding now. If it ain't broke then don't fix it.
5. Yes! True happiness can only come from God
That's still just six

Susanna, if you can give proper verification and that person has not given an answer, then yes I will count it. For now it's still six.

Jim, Yes, Still the same name only different, no I don't, no I don't, yes it does. That's still only six.

Hawkman, my most favorite movie of all times has to be "Cool Hand Luke". I am not sure if it is because it is a great movie with a fantastic cast or if it is because the first time I saw it was on T.V. and I watched it with my dad. That's seven now.

Doug why is the sky blue? and Melissa wants to know where all the socks go that dissapear that go into the dryer go. is there an evil sock elf.
but true question how do tune the outside influence and hear God and not what the world is telling us to do instead the the voice of truth, be blessed brother

Looks like I am #9, so why do Moths eat clothes? and do moth balls really work?
I know it's two questions, I got carried away...

At 11:38 AM, Blogger Jay said...

Dude,
that was way tooooo easy!!

At 11:41 AM, Anonymous Anonymous said...

Did you catch the Benedick reference?

At 12:07 PM, Blogger where's jim? said...

I think I am gonna go get some eggs now. Wow, (and we all know what wow spelled backward means) we almost got 10 by noon. I am calling for a banner day and by that I think we should lap the 10 question and go right to twenty. Our God is an Awesome God. Oh and did you register for the trip to outer space? Did anybody?

At 12:24 PM, Blogger loved truly said...

Do you have a favorite bible verse/book? If so why?

At 12:30 PM, Blogger Doug E. Pudge said...

Ryan, I ignore the first two questions and cut to the chase on the third. It isn't always easy to tune out the outside influences, in short spending time in three areas helps: Prayer, The Word and Fellowship with believers! That's where you start. Also, share your struggles that's very important. That's eight.

J, moths eat cloth for the same reason that you and I eat chicken. To a moth cloth just tastes good! As far as moth balls, I have always found them effective. That's nine.

Ole Girl, are you talking about your husband again? Seriously, most of my headaches are caused by stress! Try taking a long (at least a mile) brisk walk, that should help. Congratulations number 10!

Jim, No I didn't but now I do! Good one! Not going to keep counting at this point.

Susanna, since you have verified it I will indeed count it but it really doesn't matter now!

Jim, yes I did from the email you sent me yesterday.

Looks like Wild Wednesdays are going to stick around for awhile, at least until I get tired of it.

For Jim: the egg question, does that mean you are keeping it all in the family?

At 12:34 PM, Blogger Doug E. Pudge said...

Loved Truly, your question hit while I was answering all those others. My favorite Bible verse of all times is:

Romans 8:28 (NIV)
And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.

At 12:50 PM, Blogger where's jim? said...

yes, Sue it is...Since cows don't lay eggs and chickens don't give milk. hmmmm what about pigs? And yes we like to watch all in the family. and I can play the theme song on the piano using only the black keys.

Well Blogfather, I guess there is only one way to find out. My guess is that since you have to put in the word verification below that I wouldn't be kicked out of my own blog! Interesting thought though. How high we gonna go today folks? B4T

Frank, the definitive answer to all of your questions is "huh?" It is now 3:39 p.m.

J, that was the King Richard Petty

POTAM, the original movie was made in 1968 and starred Charlton Heston. Sorry if I hurt your feelings.

Susanna, that would be a great idea.

Can we hit 50 by 4 p.m.?

Sammy, that is irrelevant to anything of importance. Therefore the answer is I don't care. Also, please send that pic to me.

Donnie O, I don't have a clue as to what you are talking about.

DEP, if you had been in Daniel's position heading down into the lion's den (that's the OT Daniel, not the 10-year-old), what do you imagine would have been going through your mind?

Guatemala BABE, if I had Daniel's faith I would imagine I would have had the thought that either "well could be with the Lord soon" or "see you guys in the morning" either way.....God wins! B4T and remember no tongues without an interpretation!
