What A Weekend!

You know, I was thinking. Over this past absolutely stunning weekend many things were going on in my life. First of all preparations for the Eigth Anual Memorial Day Open and the Mollette Family Shin Dig to follow occupied most of my time and energy. Couple that with a dear friend and his family coming out from Pennsylvania, I was busy for three and a half days pretty much non stop. It never ceases to amaze me as to how cooperative people can be with one another when things are important to them. First of all #1 and his family were out on Saturday and Sunday to help prepare the Tuttle Hill Road Compound for the festivities to come. Second of all my oldest nieces who remains numberless (long story, not going there), was down and really took the reigns of helping momma with her preparations, especially yesterday. Combine that with the work put in by the Fraley contigent and the fact that my brother Jerry brought down his sound equipment and karaoke stuff, we had us a fine time with about 50 in attendance. My new "Big Honkin Grill" was officially christend and preformed beautifully and all in attendance had a great time. You know as much as I love the golf outings, it really is the after outing activities that excite me. I love the five "F's": Food, Fellowship, Family, Friends & Fun! We all had a great time. What are some of the things that really make you stop and realize how blessed you are? This weekend was one of those times for me. There was a moment while I was actually cutting grass that it hit me as to how blessed I am as a person. So many people in my life that I truly love and so many who truly love me! It is awesome! What about you? What is important to you? Leave me your thoughts. Be blessed today!

This is the REAL me Posted by Hello

Projetile Launching & Military Observances

You know I was thinking, in just three days I will be out with a number of other people to kick off the Eighth Anual Memorial Day Open. This golf outing has become a tradition for me and many others. This whole thing started as a result of a small group getting a couple of foursomes together to play golf on Memorial Day 1997! Now not only do we have three outings a year but my family has a big bash after everyone. This years cookout at the compound will host about 60 people! Glad I got that new grill!
It's times like this that cause me to realize how truely blessed I am. I have soooooooooo much family within thirty minutes of where I live and we truely love each other (yes even #4)! We have our normal family issues that we deal with, but at the end of the day we are there for one another. Then there's the church family! WOW! I have never had it so good. People that will get in your face when you need it and hug you when you want it. I can't even begin to "count my blessings" because the number is higher than I can even imagine.
Take some time today to thank God for what you have, not beg him for what you want. Know that God is always in control and that nothing can stop that. Tell someone that you love them and watch their reaction. Remember GIG, ATT! Be blessed today!

Idol Worship In A Transgressional Society

You know, I was thinking. As I was driving into work this morning with my favorite talk radio station on, all of the chit chat was about the American Idol finale last night. It took at least twenty minutes for them to get to the sports scores (both Pistons and Tigers lost). Now, I for one don't give a rip about American Idol so the rest of what you are about to read centers around this bias! Think of the this for a minute American Idol! Now, I think this does epitomize where our nation is at. Americans as a whole idolize those in the entertainment industry. Whether it be sports, music or movies. We see these people as the cream of the crop, the highest of the elite and those who have fulfilled the American dream. HOG WASH! This is exactly what the enemy wants us to do. Let me say that there is nothing wrong with enjoying good entertainment, I do it often. But be careful who you are putting on a pedistal. Watch out for who you look up to. In the words of Joshua "Choose you this day whom you will serve, as for me and my house we will serve the Lord".
Now all you American Idol freaks not spaz out on me. I am not slamming anyone who has been watching this program. Don't write anything that could get you Pudged, just think about what we are being fed by the mass media and be selective about what you buy into. Remember the words of a famous Senior Pastor "we're like sponges, what's in us will come out when we're squeezed"! What is in you today? Who are you serving today? Be blessed today!

Be Blessed Today

You know, I was thinking. We all have somethings that are our trademarks. "Be blessed today" is one of mine. I started saying it as a way to spread God's blessings on to people. It's not just something that I say, but something that I sincerely mean. What are some of your "Christian Tradmarks"? Share them with me today, and of course be blessed today.

Idiocraty On The Third Rock From The Sun

You know I was thinking, most people on this planet are inherently stupid. It's nothing to be ashamed about, it's just a simple fact that we have to learn to not be stupid (or at least less stupid). When we first come out of the womb I believe that two thoughts come into our heads, "I'm Cold" and "I'm Hungry". Those are the only two things we know! Were not even smart enough to know how to fix the problem. Hopefully we are born to parents who do! We can't fend for ourselves, we can't clean ourselves up, we can't move from place to place without someone else who is just a little smarter then us helping us out. There's another thing, we are constantly looking for people who are smarter then we are to help guide us throughout our lives. In some cases that's not hard to find, but when we are trying to answer some of the real tough questions, it becomes quite difficult to figure things out.
The same things hold true spiritually. When we first accept Jesus into our hearts we only know two things, "I'm Cold" and "I'm Hungry". We need someone to take care of us for awhile just to help us survive. We aren't able to fend for ourselves, we can't clean ourselves up, we can't even move from place to place without someone else who is just a little smarter then us helping us out. The difference here is that as a physical baby, we don't have a problem accepting the help we need. Really we don't have a choice! Spiritually however, we are "delivered" with a lot more baggage. Pride and personal preferences come into play and we have a hard time admitting how "STUPID" we are. The words "I need your help" and "I don't understand" are difficult but necessary phrases for the Christian, no matter what age you are. Where are you at in your walk today? Do you have brothers and sisters around you who are just a little "smarter" then you? Do you have brothers and sisters around you who look at you as just a little "smarter" then them? If not, why not? Life is a team sport not a one person decathlon! Know your strengths, admit your weaknesses and love like there is no tomorrow! "Be still and know that HE is God"! Touch someone life and be blessed today.

The Wonderful World Of Pudge

Well it was bound to happen and it finally did. Doug E. Pudge is now blogging. My goal over the next few weeks is to give you thoughts from an original Pudge point of view. Remember that posts on this blog are absolutely the opinion of blogmasterdoug and are by no means meant to do anything except to make you think. So, you might want a better definition of what is the original Pudge point of view. Let me give you a ferinstance. If some liberal starts whining and crying about the mistreatment of animals and yet supports the killing of inocent babies. They will be called out on the table and given a Pudging. If someone is out there preaching another gospel other than that of Jesus, they will be given a Pudging. You may disagree with me, dislike me, disrespect me and disallusion me but you will never discourage or disuade me from printing what is my version of the truth. Today is the day that the Lord has made, what have you done with it? Have you testified today of God's goodness? Have you shared with someone God's plan for their life? Have you told a friend, family member or co-worker that you love them? Hey, being a Jesus freak is a full time job. One that needs to be taken seriously. Remember "that neither height nor depth, neither angels or demons, niether government taxes or battles with your neighbor, neither your boss or your co-worker, nor anything present or future can ever in any way shape or form separate you from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus" (Rom. 8:31 ff that has been Pudged for your enjoyment). Be blessed today.
